THE QUIETER SIDE OF
BAY COUNTY
Sunrise at EastBay is uniquely positioned between the sugar white beaches of the Emerald Coast and the historic Old Florida towns of the Forgotten Coast. The Sunrise at EastBay property was originally part of a over million acres of timber farm property owned by the DuPont Family/ St. Joe Paper Company. In the 2000's, St. Joe sold the majority of its land holdings in eastern Bay County. The original developers of Eastbay planned the community and installed all the infrastructure, but the project stalled during the Great Recession. The new owners planted 700,000 pine trees on the property surrounding EastBay, and now Sunrise at EastBay is being repositioned for new generations to enjoy the benefits of the area as envisioned. Learn more about the amazing history of the area in The Green Empire: The St. Joe Company and the Remaking of the Florida Panhandle:
